High School diploma or GED
1–2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of medium/heavy-duty transportation equipment preferred
Valid state driver’s license required; CDL is a plus
Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations as they pertain to maintenance and operation of transportation equipment
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read and interpret vehicle schematics and service manuals
Basic knowledge and use of computer systems and familiarity with Microsoft systems
Familiarity with hand and power tools including hydraulic jacks and pneumatic tools
Ability to lift, move, push, pull, and carry materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted

Responsibilities

Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance on medium and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
Perform roadside repairs and reactive maintenance as needed
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and perform corrective actions
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
Practice safety awareness in all tasks, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and adherence to OSHA standards
Collaborate with fleet operations and other departments to ensure equipment readiness and minimize downtime
Organize parts, tools, and materials in designated areas for efficient workflow
Display a positive, team-oriented attitude and support management objectives
Work Saturday shifts as needed; 40-hour work week with opportunity for overtime
