Requirements

  • Prefer, but not required: At least one year Certificate from college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training

Responsibilities

  • Advises and assists customers for purposes of safeguarding life and property against fire, explosion, and related hazards
  • Recommends materials or equipment such as structural components protection, fire detection equipment, alarm systems, fire extinguishing devices and systems, and advises on location, handling, installation, and maintenance
  • Installs, inspects, and services customers' fire suppression equipment and systems, including hood systems, on a timely basis
  • Picks up and delivers fire extinguishers to customers after repairs or testing have been completed
  • Recommends materials, equipment, or methods for alleviation of conditions conducive to fire
  • Provides complete and accurate documentation as required
  • Maintains adequate stock levels at customers' locations
  • Solicits new or additional products or services
  • Maintains safe, well-stocked company vehicles
