Requirements

From an accounting background with a professional certification as a qualified accountant (either ACA or ACCA)
Excellent working knowledge of the Xero finance platform
Drives exceptionally high financial administration standards across the team
Eye for meticulous detail
Forms excellent working relationships both internally and externally
Ensures all financial processes are fit for purpose to service business growth

Responsibilities

Internal finance process management, including leadership of all internal financial processes across the team and ensuring compliance of budget monitoring processes
Bookkeeping oversight, including leadership of day-to-day bookkeeping requirements such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, management of Xero and associated admin, processing of all outgoing payments, and bank reconciliations (with bookkeeping support from third-party accountancy as required)
Internal reporting, including management of all internal finance reporting such as day-to-day cashflow reporting (short and long term), ownership of the agency monthly project finance report (supported by the Account team), and long- and short-term agency budget forecasting
Project reconciliation oversight, ensuring all projects are reconciled in a timely fashion while working closely with the account team on a project-by-project basis
Financial strategy, advising the Managing Partners and OBE London board with strategic financial advice and support (including HMRC and tax compliance, liaising with partner accountancy firm as required)
Management of external financial relationships, including banking relationships
Oversight and general management of creditors and debtors
Management of any third-party accountancy relationships
Agency cashflow management
Finance software tool management
Oversight of the annual accounting process (supported by third-party accountancy as required)
Strategic financial advisory to the Managing Partners
