About You

  • Experience: 2+ years of FP&A, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting experience (or 4+ for the senior level).
  • Financial Modeling: Understand bottoms up financial modeling; experience building bottoms up financial models with forward assumption based projections.
  • Building & Improvement: Love to build new models and processes, as well as improve existing ones. Driven by first principles and efficiency to get stuff done.
  • Resourcefulness: Love a challenge and always question the status quo. Highly adaptive and enjoy getting creative to solve new problems.
  • Data Affinity: Love data (a lot). Innately curious, analyze everything, look for trends, and always forever truth-seeking. Experience writing SQL is a plus.
  • Detail-Oriented: Care about the nitty gritty. Detail-oriented, highly organized, understand priorities, and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Proactive: Eager to take on any project that comes your way no matter how big or how small.
  • Collaboration: Love to collaborate and coordinate. Excited to regularly connect with leadership and other stakeholders.

Things You’ll Do

Zapier is a fast-growing and remote-first company, so you'll likely get experience on many different projects across the organization. That said, here are the core responsibilities for this role:

  • Own and improve pipeline forecasting across Self Serve and Sales
  • Work closely with our various marketing and sales teams to set budgets, KPI’s and understand ROI by channel
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Zapier on annual planning
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis and identify key drivers for budget variances with Marketing and Sales
  • Consolidate financial information for our quarterly board package
  • Help drive weekly / monthly / quarterly financial and operational business reviews with leadership team across multiple different departments to drive strategic decision making
  • Conduct various ad hoc analysis in partnership with the data team to identify and explain trends / anomalies in the business to finance / business leadership
