Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required) in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Master of Business Administration (Preferred)
  • Five years accounting and/or financial analysis experience
  • Experience in food distribution / wholesale / retail operations (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels in the organization
  • Strong analytical and effective decision-making skills, organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, strong initiative, and ability to prioritize multiple priorities
  • Excellent financial/spreadsheet skills
  • Systems knowledge or the ability to adapt quickly to different systems
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to lift and/or move 20 pounds; frequently required to sit/stand/walk in a typical office environment

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and model key working capital components (accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory) to identify optimization opportunities
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to track working capital performance
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Operations, Sales, and Treasury to drive improvements in payment terms, inventory turnover, and collections
  • Collaborate with external partners to identify new areas of opportunity and track benefits and costs associated with externally supported programs
  • Lead deep-dive assessments to identify root causes of working capital inefficiencies
  • Design and implement actionable recommendations and monitor their impact over time
  • Support forecast and scenario analysis related to cash flow and liquidity planning
  • Provide financial insights and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership
  • Stay informed on industry benchmarks and best practices related to working capital management
  • Support strategic initiatives across the organization, including working capital efficiency, to optimize cash flow and reduce working capital requirements without compromising operational effectiveness
