Bachelor's Degree (Required) in Accounting, Finance or related field
Master of Business Administration (Preferred)
Five years accounting and/or financial analysis experience
Experience in food distribution / wholesale / retail operations (preferred)
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels in the organization
Strong analytical and effective decision-making skills, organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, strong initiative, and ability to prioritize multiple priorities
Excellent financial/spreadsheet skills
Systems knowledge or the ability to adapt quickly to different systems
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to lift and/or move 20 pounds; frequently required to sit/stand/walk in a typical office environment
Responsibilities
Analyze and model key working capital components (accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory) to identify optimization opportunities
Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to track working capital performance
Partner with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Operations, Sales, and Treasury to drive improvements in payment terms, inventory turnover, and collections
Collaborate with external partners to identify new areas of opportunity and track benefits and costs associated with externally supported programs
Lead deep-dive assessments to identify root causes of working capital inefficiencies
Design and implement actionable recommendations and monitor their impact over time
Support forecast and scenario analysis related to cash flow and liquidity planning
Provide financial insights and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership
Stay informed on industry benchmarks and best practices related to working capital management
Support strategic initiatives across the organization, including working capital efficiency, to optimize cash flow and reduce working capital requirements without compromising operational effectiveness
