Requirements

7+ years of combined experience in professional services or a large corporate organization
Qualified accountant and member of CPA Australia or CA Australia & New Zealand
Sound knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
Sound knowledge of Australian and New Zealand reporting requirements
Proficiency in Australian and New Zealand direct and indirect tax
Previous experience with SAP is highly desirable
Demonstrable experience with control frameworks and accounting processes in a large complex organization
Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt and problem-solve
Unrestricted right to work in Australia/New Zealand (for external candidates)

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance over reporting, tax, and internal policies
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities
Monitor and strengthen internal controls and overall governance
Lead group-level financial controlling activities during quarterly and annual close periods
Support business decision-making with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Support project initiatives around business growth, streamlining operations, and changes in compliance/legislative frameworks
Collaborate with stakeholders both locally and across international regions
