Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience in the Higher Education industry, ideally in a Finance related leadership role, with 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner or Ellucian Colleague, including Finance module configuration and support. Proven experience with implementation, optimization, and user support for higher ed financial systems is required, along with a strong understanding of financial operations in higher ed, including accounting, budgeting, and procurement. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach are also necessary, alongside the ability to troubleshoot system and functional issues and liaise with technical support as needed.

Responsibilities

The Finance Consultant will provide functional consulting, training, and support for Ellucian Banner or Colleague Finance modules, analyze and optimize business processes related to general accounting, budgeting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting, configure and test ERP systems to meet institutional requirements, collaborate with stakeholders to understand challenges and define goals, leverage ERP tools to enhance and automate financial processes, troubleshoot functional and technical issues, provide end-user training, documentation, and support, coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure project delivery, and stay current on trends in higher education finance and ERP solutions. Occasional travel to client sites may be required, and consultants must have availability during normal U.S. business hours to collaborate with clients across various time zones.
