Requirements

  • Technical degree
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Heavy Duty Gas Turbines (HDGT)
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of rotating equipment
  • Good attitude to manage relationships with customer and HQ, concerning technical and contractual aspects

Responsibilities

  • Performing major inspections of Frame 5, 6, 7 & 9 HDGT machines
  • Perform laser alignments & Borescope inspection on all machines
  • Performing equipment start-up, diagnostic and troubleshooting
  • Performing Water wash procedure
  • Performing lube oil and cooling water systems flushes as per recommended procedures
  • Pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil system, starting system, fuel gas system, air system
  • Advising on interpretation of drawings for installation optimisation
  • Working closely with Instrumentation Engineer during the Maintenance/installation, calibration, and set-up electrical instrumentation (such as vibration probes, temperature elements, servo actuators calibration, etc)
  • Marking-up all piping drawings to show piping modifications
  • Unloading and Inspection of the gas turbine major auxiliaries at the installation site and their placement on the foundation
  • Performing Geometric dimensional check of foundation, equipment and auxiliaries skids positioning, levelling (ensure levelness and elevations of subsole plates and perform contact checks between subsole plates and package supports) and alignment
  • Installing and assembling activities of gas turbine and auxiliary equipment such as oil console, air system, interconnection piping, coolers, structure, ducts, oil flushing, blowing, etc
  • Ensuring all gas piping and orifices are correctly installed for each piping system
  • Installing inlet and exhaust systems per BH / Vendor specifications
  • Checking-out and initial operation of base mounted gas turbine starting means
  • Locking-out and Tag-out
  • Performing small mechanical repairs at machining tools in the workshop
