Requirements

  • Technical degree in biomedical, electronics or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting, installing, performing maintenance on equipment at customer sites OR 2 years of experience with laboratory instruments
  • Bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written
  • Ability to travel to the United States of America for training
  • Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms
  • Motor vehicle history (implied for travel)

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients while installing and maintaining diagnostic instruments in hospital laboratory environments
  • Serving assigned customers under minimal supervision, complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated instrumentation
  • Complete on time and accurately: preventative maintenance, field modifications, instrument repairs, and work order/service documentation
  • Occasionally available to travel across Canada to support various sites where instrumentation is used
