At the Langenselbold site, we produce microbiological safety cabinets, CO2 incubators, microbiological incubators, heating and drying cabinets, vacuum drying cabinets, and high-temperature furnaces on an area of almost 15,000 m². The sales and order processing departments, which operate throughout Europe, cover additional product areas such as laboratory consumables and water purification systems.

Furthermore, Langenselbold is the headquarters of the EMEA LabAutomation Business, which manufactures movers, automated incubators & storage devices, control software, and automated systems for various applications such as synthetic biology, analytical workflows, and high-throughput applications. Langenselbold is also the global headquarters of the Cytomat product line (automated incubators).

The site currently employs approximately 700 people in the areas of production, development, product management, purchasing, sales, service, project management, and administration.

We are looking for you as a Service Technician / Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) Germany-wide. Your main tasks include the organization and execution of commissioning and service work. This is an excellent opportunity for career changers with technical training.

Your Responsibilities

  • Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: You will install, maintain, and repair electronic, mechanical, and medical technology devices.
  • Customer Point of Contact: You are responsible for instructing our customers and ensuring the technically flawless and economical execution of service work.
  • Coordination and Adherence to Service Work: You will coordinate the scheduling of commissioning and service work, e.g., with the construction manager, project manager, sales, service desk, and our customers.
  • Documentation: You are responsible for the system and equipment documentation as well as the creation of related documents (e.g., checklists, statistics, error logs); advising the customer on repairs or new purchases.

Your Profile

  • Technical Education: You have completed vocational training as a medical technician, electrical engineer/master craftsman, or similar, with several years of professional experience, or possess comparable qualifications.
  • Experience as a Qualified Electrician: You have the necessary qualifications and training to perform electrical tests according to currently valid standards.
  • Willingness to Travel and Flexibility: You are flexible to travel, primarily within your service region, but also throughout Germany.
  • Communication Skills: You have good German and English language skills, as good communication is the basis for customer loyalty.
