Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in on-site installation, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance of Chromatography (LC/IC) and/or Mass Spectrometer (MS) equipment is required. The role necessitates the ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance and work in various environmental conditions, including fluctuating temperatures, loud noises, and with hazardous materials, while potentially using personal protective equipment.
The Field Service Engineer will perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repairs of scientific equipment at customer locations. Responsibilities include managing parts inventory, completing service reports via software, training customers on equipment usage, and acting as a liaison between customers and the company. The engineer must also attend technical trainings, review technical bulletins, troubleshoot instrumentation, share diagnostic information, and complete administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
