Degreed engineers (knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
Basic experience in Services & Field Services
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

Responsibilities

Perform all on-site life extensions, repairs, and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets
Supervise construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment at customer sites
Conduct onsite machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics
Make engineering decisions
Resolve issues using established procedures and consult supervisor or senior team members for issues outside defined instructions/parameters
Collaborate with others to solve issues
For customer-facing roles, develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE, exchanging technical information, asking questions, and checking for understanding
Accountable for the quality of own work, subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking
Execute within a well-defined operations framework following step-by-step standard operational tasks
