Requirements

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Compliance with cleanroom conditions: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair, etc
  • Tolerance for fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold)
  • Willingness to wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Japanese and English reading/writing proficiency required (conversational skills not essential but curiosity appreciated)
  • Science background from technical college, university, or graduate school (electrical, electronics, physics majors)
  • PC and network knowledge preferred
  • Ability to communicate smoothly with customers and internal teams
  • Interest in troubleshooting and repair as an engineer, especially analytical/precision instruments
  • Knowledge or interest in electron microscopes or analytical instruments preferred
  • Field service beginners, second new graduates (up to 3 years of work experience) welcome
  • Overseas training after 3-6 months of employment (up to 2 weeks per trip)

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation of complex equipment, following test procedures to ensure proper work orders
  • Conduct regular maintenance visits
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair support to customers and other field service personnel
  • Build relationships with customers, system users, and employees
  • Support company's demo systems, troubleshoot issues, and assist other field service personnel
  • Create and submit field service reports
  • Provide training on system maintenance to customers and users
  • Provide feedback to the product quality team
  • Update and revise internal system documents
  • Identify specific issues related to systems
