Requirements

Candidates should possess a degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with specific experience levels depending on the degree obtained (PhD with relevant focus, MSc plus 3+ years, or BSc plus several years in the industry). Required hands-on experience includes real-time PCR, digital PCR, Sanger sequencing, and/or capillary electrophoresis, along with knowledge of nucleic acid extraction and workflow development. Familiarity with analytical HPLC in life sciences or pharma, assay design, and biopharma regulatory environments is also necessary. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and presentation skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently. Fluency in English and German is required, with Polish being advantageous. A willingness to travel 50-65% and a valid EU driver's license are also mandatory.

Responsibilities

The Field Applications Scientist will provide post-sales support to customers through training, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization, both on-site and remotely. They will collaborate with customers to implement Pharma Analytics solutions efficiently and act as a customer advocate to influence product and workflow improvements. The role involves providing technical feedback to internal teams, representing Thermo Fisher at events, and supporting sales through product discussions and live demonstrations. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards is also a key responsibility.
