Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communications, or a related field, with over 10 years of experience in FPGA design, verification, or technical support. Deep expertise in FPGA architectures, RTL coding (Verilog/VHDL), design tools, and high-speed interface implementations such as PCIe Gen3/4, 10G/25G Ethernet, DDR4, and LVDS is required. Proficiency in embedded systems integration, troubleshooting board-level issues, timing violations, signal integrity, and system-level debugging is necessary. Familiarity with embedded software development (C/C++, Linux) and hardware-software co-design methodologies is preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to travel periodically to customer sites.

Responsibilities

The Field Application Engineer will provide comprehensive technical support to customers throughout the FPGA product lifecycle, including pre-sales consultation, design-in guidance, and post-sales troubleshooting. They will assist customers in FPGA device selection, architecture evaluation, and solution optimization for various applications like industrial control, communications, AI acceleration, or embedded systems. Responsibilities include resolving complex technical issues related to FPGA design, conducting technical training and workshops, and collaborating with R&D teams to provide feedback on customer needs and technical challenges. The role also involves developing technical collateral such as application notes and reference designs, and building strong customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor to ensure FPGA-based project success.
