Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of FEP experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • Reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s), unless an accommodation is granted as required by law
  • If assigned to a Government Business Division entity, subject to additional requirements for 'sensitive position' designation, including but not limited to more stringent standards

Responsibilities

  • Research, review, extrapolate, revise, and validate training materials and documentation to ensure they are accurate and complete according to FEP policies, procedures, and related call center technologies
  • Train associates on upskilling for customer service and claims, including professional medical service facility correspondence, usage of healthcare provider portals, and adjustments
  • Serve as an advisor for continuous education needs by conducting side-by-side training to enhance associate performance and increase member satisfaction outcomes
  • Assist Training Quality and Content team with analyzing, assessing needs, and identifying root causes
  • Supply information for development and maintenance of training materials and documentation
  • Keep knowledge and expertise current by reviewing FEP policies, procedures, publications, program materials, etc
  • Research newly deployed and/or pending FEP Regulations (e.g., Change Requests, mandates, OPM memorandums) and provide impact summaries to impacted stakeholders
  • Design new and enhanced training programs and documentation based on needs
  • Assess training outcomes and determine if further training or documentation is needed
  • Support delivery and/or deliver train-the-trainer sessions for upskilling courses and project-related initiatives, including system implementations and enhancements
  • Make recommendations to management on training and content improvements or enhancements
  • Participate in meetings with primary contractor and the FEP Director’s Office, as needed
  • Manage day-to-day interactions and relationships, acting as a liaison with primary contractor associates
  • Assist with process re-engineering and project work, as needed
  • Travel to worksite and other locations, as necessary
