Responsibilities

  • Oversee District Manager Training and Train-The-Trainer sessions
  • Manage selection, assessment, oversight, certification, and ongoing management of the Grand Opening Look Daily (G.O.L.D.) Store Training Program, including GSTs (identification, in-store assessment, certification, retention/succession)
  • Ensure quality and full completion of District Manager and Store Manager training and certification prior to assignment to new roles
  • Facilitate professional classroom and in-store experiential training for major field training initiatives
  • Strategically plan and align training deployment in key markets to support the People Plan and learning governance strategy
  • Act as training business partner to Regional Directors and District Managers, providing regular business updates and training solutions
  • Interact with all levels of the business, including senior leaders during major training initiatives
  • Oversee and manage the DM Training Program, creating training plans and providing ongoing interaction and support
  • Ensure the SM Training Program is executed per company expectations, producing proficient Store Managers
  • Strategically consult, plan, and coordinate with DMs to support Zone People Visits in key markets/major initiatives
  • Provide performance consultation to regional business partners regarding GSTs, SMTs, and DMITs
  • Consult with regional business partners to ensure GST selections meet all requirements
  • Facilitate GST Certification Sessions once per quarter
  • Gather feedback to determine performance gaps, conduct needs analysis, and determine appropriate training solutions
  • Provide SME for DM Trainer Program development and implementation
  • Conduct Train-The-Trainer sessions with DM Trainers
  • Facilitate SSC/Zone-based DM Training Program
  • Conduct ongoing quarterly GST Council sessions to maintain engagement and ensure SM Training Program effectiveness
  • Model Family Dollar values and demonstrate high professionalism
