Responsibilities

  • Oversee management, direction, administration, and development of the facility's security program, including security plans, SOPs, and compliance documentation
  • Ensure adherence to NISPOM, DoD directives, and contract-specific requirements; provide guidance and coordinate with senior leadership on security concerns
  • Conduct security audits, self-inspections, vulnerability assessments; support DCSA reviews and respond to incidents with investigations and reports
  • Manage on-site security operations, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, and provide ad hoc support to personnel
  • Manage personnel security clearances (PCLs), including background investigations, briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, access reviews, and nominations
  • Maintain personnel security records, handle security files, process terminations/transfers, manage visit requests, and enforce need-to-know principles
  • Develop and deliver security awareness training, initial/annual briefings for personnel handling classified information
  • Account for, control, transmit, package, safeguard, and destroy classified information; maintain accountability records, inventories, and annual audits
  • Ensure proper marking, storage, and handling of classified materials per NISPOM and standards like 32 CFR Part 2001
  • Oversee physical security for cleared facilities, including access controls, IDS, CCTV, and perimeter safeguards
  • Manage Facility Clearance (FCL) processes, including applications, renewals, expansions, and compliance with DCSA
  • Develop/review physical security plans, coordinate facility modifications/constructions, and collaborate with vendors on security features
  • Implement measures to prevent unauthorized access, including end-of-day checks and emergency responses
