Requirements

At least five years of relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
Experience with design-build, engineering-procurement-construction, and design-bid-build types of construction projects
Experience with vertical new construction, building renovation, and civil/site infrastructure construction projects
Experience with construction building codes and permitting processes
Expertise with at least one of the following, but preferably all: HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance
Highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects
Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
Conduct material testing for strength, density, durability, etc., and ensure they meet project and industry standards
Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records
Document any deviations or changes relative to blueprints and building plans
Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other)
Inspect project sites and oversee contractor activities to ensure compliance with building and safety codes
Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications
Provide “day-to-day operations support,” such as coordinating access for construction contractors
Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project
Participate in project meetings to provide progress updates and report any issues
