Requirements

  • At least five years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with design-build, engineering-procurement-construction, and design-bid-build types of construction projects
  • Experience with vertical new construction, building renovation, and civil/site infrastructure construction projects
  • Experience with construction building codes and permitting processes
  • Expertise with at least one of the following, but preferably all: HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance
  • Highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects
  • Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
  • Conduct material testing for strength, density, durability, etc., and ensure they meet project and industry standards
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records
  • Document any deviations or changes relative to blueprints and building plans
  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, and other)
  • Inspect project sites and oversee contractor activities to ensure compliance with building and safety codes
  • Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications
  • Provide “day-to-day operations support,” such as coordinating access for construction contractors
  • Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Participate in project meetings to provide progress updates and report any issues
