Requirements

Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks and general upkeep of the Distribution Center
Capability to support Maintenance Technicians in mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance, including servicing hand tools and minor floor machines
Qualified to act as an Electrical Assistant for electrical safety processes
Skills to evaluate and inspect facility interior/exterior for upkeep or repair needs
Proficiency in changing PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) batteries, performing battery maintenance, cleaning equipment, and maintaining records
Ability to complete maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of Label Tec Printers
Competence in operating hand and power tools (drills, saws, sanders, grinders, pneumatic tools, welders)
Skilled in carpentry, welding, and fabrication for constructing/repairing assets (furniture, shelving, racks, workbenches)
Experience with plumbing tasks (faucet/landscape sprinkler installation/repair, drain/sump cleaning)
Ability to perform painting, drywall repairs, concrete patching, or minor concrete replacement
Knowledge to assist in preventive maintenance programs (pest control, HVAC) and update records
Capability to handle trash removal, cardboard bales, yard cleanup, and operate snow removal equipment
Valid driver's license or ability to drive Target-owned vehicles for yard duties, vendor escorts, parts pickup
Commitment to safe operation of power equipment, safe lifting techniques, and spill cleanup

Responsibilities

Support Maintenance Technicians in mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance, such as servicing/repairing hand tools and minor floor machines
Act as Qualified Electrical Assistant for electrical safety processes
Support maintenance personnel in installation/removal of equipment
Evaluate and inspect facility interior/exterior to determine upkeep/repair requirements
Change PIT batteries, perform preventative/corrective maintenance on batteries, clean/paint battery equipment, maintain records, and submit at shift end
Complete maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of Label Tec Printers
Operate hand/power tools (drills, saws, sanders, grinders, pneumatic tools, welders)
Construct/repair facility assets (assemble furniture, build shelving/racks, repair workbenches) using carpentry, welding, fabrication
Perform plumbing tasks: install/repair faucets/landscape sprinklers, clean stopped drains/sumps
Complete painting, drywall repairs, concrete patching, minor concrete replacement
Assist in preventive maintenance programs (pest control, HVAC) and update records
Remove cardboard bales from bailers, trash from buildings using dumpsters, maintain neat grounds
Operate snow removal equipment for walks, roads, parking lots
Drive Target vehicles for yard cleanup, incident response, vendor escorts, parts/materials pickup
Operate all power equipment safely, use safe lifting techniques, assist in spill cleanup
Perform all other duties as assigned pertaining to general upkeep and maintenance
