Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering in a facilities management or similar role
  • Strong leadership skills
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and safety regulations
  • Experience managing a team and coordinating maintenance activities
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the department
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all facilities; ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance and repair tasks
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address needs
  • Drive engagement of the facilities and utilities team
  • Oversee the execution of facility and utility maintenance and adhere to the annual budget
  • Ensure all facilities and utilities activities comply with industry standards, codes, regulations, and Haleon standards
  • Own designing, executing, and maintaining facilities and utilities validations within the site
  • Conduct safety training and regular safety audits
  • Order and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and safety
  • Lead sustainability (energy, water, and carbon neutral) initiatives to reduce costs and environmental impact
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including within site and external to site
  • Stay updated with the latest engineering and sustainability technologies and safety practices
