Bachelor’s degree in engineering
5+ years of experience in engineering in a facilities management or similar role
Strong leadership skills
In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and safety regulations
Experience managing a team and coordinating maintenance activities
Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools
Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the department
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all facilities; ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance and repair tasks
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address needs
Drive engagement of the facilities and utilities team
Oversee the execution of facility and utility maintenance and adhere to the annual budget
Ensure all facilities and utilities activities comply with industry standards, codes, regulations, and Haleon standards
Own designing, executing, and maintaining facilities and utilities validations within the site
Conduct safety training and regular safety audits
Order and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and safety
Lead sustainability (energy, water, and carbon neutral) initiatives to reduce costs and environmental impact
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including within site and external to site
Stay updated with the latest engineering and sustainability technologies and safety practices
