Requirements

  • Technical or Science Degree / Master Degree / PhD / Professional Certification in related discipline
  • Knowledge of the Electricity Supply Act and its regulations (Malaysian Law)
  • Certified Chargeman, competent person by Energy Commission Malaysia

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and carry out proper preventive maintenance to ensure plant electrical systems or equipment are operated in a safe and cost-effective condition
  • Ensure installation and maintenance of electrical equipment are safe and comply with legal requirements
  • Coordinate and interface with utility providers and governmental regulatory body pertaining to utility-related matters
  • Responsible and authorized to make decisions to shut down the company facility and advise management on next course of actions during critical or life-threatening situations
