Requirements

Candidates must have a strong understanding of global export controls and sanctions, with specific expertise in China Dual-Use and Rare Earths export controls. Experience with APAC trade regulations (CN, MY, SG, TH, PH) is essential, along with a proven ability to conduct risk assessments, including Point of Sales reviews and red flag analysis. Experience supporting Entity List programs and sanctions controls, as well as customer, supplier, and business partner due diligence, is required. Familiarity with developing and implementing audit methodologies, metrics, and recordkeeping systems is necessary. The role also requires experience in drafting and maintaining compliance policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures, and supporting Deemed Export Programs. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are needed to liaise with various departments and regional teams.

Responsibilities

The Export Compliance Program Manager will monitor trade compliance regulations and implement controls to mitigate trade compliance risks across the EMEA region. Key responsibilities include managing compliance with specific regional export controls, interpreting and ensuring compliance with APAC trade regulations, and conducting risk assessments. The role involves supporting Entity List programs, sanctions controls, and partner due diligence escalations. The manager will lead the Import Export Compliance Assurance Program, develop audit methodologies, and ensure proper recordkeeping. They will also draft, update, and maintain compliance policies and procedures, and support Deemed Export Programs. Additionally, the manager will serve as a training liaison, engage with regional teams and stakeholders to provide trade compliance support, enable sales, and reduce risk, and act as an escalation point for operational compliance issues in the APAC region.
