Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer with strong focus on Azure network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with Azure networking (vNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Route Server, Application Gateway, NSG, Azure Firewall)
  • Hands-on experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and communication protocols (TCP/IP, QoS, HSRP)
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with IPSec VPNs and hybrid connectivity setups
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in resolving complex network issues
  • Familiarity with scripting/automation tools (Python, PowerShell, or Perl) for operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 rotational support model
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7–8 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, design, and implementation
  • Strong Azure network operations experience required
  • Certifications preferred: CCNP / CCIE (Enterprise, Security, or Service Provider), Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), CISSP or equivalent security certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, QoS) across on-prem and Azure environments
  • Implement and manage Azure networking components — including Azure Virtual Networks (vNETs), VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and Network Security Groups (NSGs)
  • Perform network maintenance, monitoring, and optimization to ensure high availability and performance
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) across hybrid environments
  • Manage and troubleshoot IPSec VPN tunnels between on-prem and Azure
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and manage firewall configurations (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Azure Firewall, etc.)
  • Monitor and analyze Azure Network Watcher, flow logs, and diagnostics for proactive issue detection
  • Provide Level-2/3 support, perform failover testing, and execute root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents
  • Develop and maintain network automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, or Terraform) for configuration consistency and efficiency
  • Work within established change management and configuration standards
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures to strengthen network protection
  • Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure teams for integrated design and incident resolution
