Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Roaming around Linux/Unix systems and pinpointing problem root causes, an understanding of how the Internet and Web applications work under the hood, experience with metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and observability tools, proficiency in configuration management frameworks such as Ansible, experience maintaining applications in a production environment, self-motivation and the ability to work with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose, humility and motivation to learn and teach others, comfort with DevOps methodologies and best practices, experience installing and managing Open Telemetry, Grafana, Traefik, Redis Cluster, and Kafka, strong skills in Good Experience using Cloud provider AWS, experience setting up CI/CD and AWS networking and accounts, experience with Containers and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes and Docker, a solid understanding of CI/CD independently from the tools, experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and tools like Terraform, Terragrunt or Cloudformation, experience with monitoring tools such as Open Telemetry, Grafana, DataDog, or Cloud Watch, experience with Helm Charts, experience with language for automation tasks and scripting such as Bash, Python, or Javascript and Typescript, and very comfortable with English.
As an Experienced Cloud Engineer, you will be part of an agile project team working with all the infrastructure pieces of a system, writing code, provisioning infrastructures, driving root cause analysis, and ensuring compliance while also guiding the team on DevOps methodologies and best practices, maintaining applications in a production environment, and having close contacts with CEO, COO, and clients, and potentially traveling nationally and internationally for projects and client needs.
