Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in sports sponsorship strategy and partnership management, with a proven track record of leading sponsorship portfolios for major brands, leagues, or agencies
  • Deep expertise in the sports sponsorship industry, including asset valuation, contract structure, partnership negotiation, rights management, and activation best practices
  • Demonstrated experience designing, operationalizing, and scaling a sponsorship or partnership practice – ideally across a large, complex, multi-business organization
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess sponsorship opportunities, build long-term portfolio strategies, and translate enterprise goals into actionable plans
  • Hands-on execution experience, including leading cross-functional activation, overseeing agency/external partners, and ensuring best-in-class delivery across multiple channels and business units
  • Proven ability to analyze performance data, build measurement frameworks, and use insights to guide investment decisions and optimize ROI

Responsibilities

  • Develop, govern, and implement the enterprise sports sponsorship strategy that is aligned with brand and business objectives
  • Build and operationalize a scalable sports sponsorship capability and practice, including strategic planning, stakeholder management and governance frameworks, measurement methodology, performance dashboards, and cross-functional operating models
  • Serve as the enterprise expert on sports sponsorship evaluation, asset valuation, contract structure, and deal negotiation – ensuring CVS Health secures maximum brand and financial value
  • Provide expert guidance to executive leadership on sponsorship opportunities, risks, investment levels, and ROI
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Brand, Communications, and Legal to ensure sponsorships are strategically integrated and consistently executed to maximize impact and performance against business and brand objectives
  • Identify, recommend, negotiate, manage, and optimize high-value partnerships across leagues, teams, venues, media partnerships and outside agencies that align with the brand and vision and objectives
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry
