Requirements

  • Bachelor in Engineering field (Chemical, Mechanical, or related), or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering and facility construction in Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, Packaging, or Aseptic background (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Clean Utilities, MEP, Civil subject areas
  • Strong understanding of quality and regulatory requirements for GMP in Pharmaceutical environments
  • Experience in capital projects – engineering and construction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, achievement-focused setting, prioritizing and balancing multiple tasks efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Guide project teams in successfully completing capital projects emphasizing sterile suite and utility alterations
  • Work together with Thermo Fisher Global Engineering to complete projects across the Thermo Fisher network
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to define user requirements and refine project scope
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget
  • Select, direct, and coordinate contractor and vendor work to enable successful project delivery and implementation
  • Develop, review, and understand engineering drawings that include equipment recommendations and utility/facility changes
  • Specify construction methods to achieve the desired objectives
