Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-3 years Escrow Officer/Assistant Escrow Officer experience
  • Licensing requirements as required by State/Federal Agencies
  • Notary Public license requirements as required by State
  • Customer service skills with experience engaging with diverse homebuyer demographics
  • Ability to multi-task and handle fast paced and demanding work environment
  • Effective follow up skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adjust well to change
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across dispersed teams in multiple locations
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required (experience with OneNote and SoftPro is a plus)
  • Demonstrates effective collaboration skills to promote teamwork and communication among various departments and stakeholders
  • Demonstrates proactive initiative and self-motivation to drive tasks and projects forward independently
  • Exhibits exceptional time management and prioritization skills to efficiently meet deadlines and optimize task workflows
  • Physical ability to exert minimal force of 25 pounds to carry, lift, push, pull and otherwise move objects (on occasions, up to 50 pounds)

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of the settlement transactions including preparation and approval of Settlement Statements, preparation and coordination of deeds, verify accuracy of loan documents, insurance documentation, seller statements, and contract or sales agreement
  • Obtain signatures for closing transactions, explain all documents executed as needed, and facilitate questions/answers between parties to the transaction
  • Follow Escrow Accounting Business Practice Guidelines which includes but is not limited to collection and disbursement of funds while complying with required State and Federal Good Funds statutes
  • Review escrow quality assurance reports and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure compliance with required business policy
  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation from settlement team to Recording and Accounting Departments
  • Correct and resolve any post-closing issues that arise
  • Ensure adherence to workflow processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Act as liaison between all parties to the transaction including homebuyer, seller, mortgage, accounting and other areas within the Title & Escrow Process
