Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field
  • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment
  • All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
  • Ability to perform sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, negligible force frequently; repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms; sitting most of the time with occasional walking or standing

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries for mental health, domestic violence, and/or addictive disorder services and refer to appropriate system programs, outside agencies, or community resources
  • Help locate resources, apply for services, set appointments, provide accurate information, advocate, and follow up when necessary
  • Maintain a system of records and reports for documentation of referrals at specific time intervals
  • Provide interim triage contact with consumers and assist with connecting to behavioral and crisis intervention services
  • Deliver supportive services to assigned consumers until they establish care with providers for ongoing treatment needs
  • Provide and/or coordinate follow-up to all responsible consumers, including for missed appointments, and conduct outreach and engagement as needed
  • Collaborate as part of a team which may include hospitals, medical clinic health professionals, or other employees of a designated community partner
  • Attend individual supervision and team meetings as scheduled by the ERE Supervisor
  • Follow all policies and procedures as outlined by the system, the Missouri Behavioral Health Council, and the Department of Mental Health
