Requirements

High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate
1 year experience in pharmaceutical, food or cosmetic related manufacturing (or equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience)
Ability to maintain records of activities as instructed
Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Works well with limited supervision in a team environment
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (asset)
Proficiency using Microsoft Office software applications
Proficiency with the English language
Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch for prolonged periods; manipulate weights up to 40 lbs.; arm, hand, finger dexterity; visual acuity; ability to sit, reach, talk, hear
Adherence to Cleanroom standards (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair; no contact lenses)
Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
Ability to perform alternating or rotating shift work

Responsibilities

Clean equipment and rooms according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Diligently clean and maintain processing equipment according to established procedures to ensure accurate processing and safe practices
Review the production schedule to ensure all parts and equipment are cleaned to avoid downtime
Clean stainless-steel drums and all plastic containers used for packaging operations
Clean portable equipment/equipment parts for Packaging as per SOPs
Clean all purified water and product transfer hoses as per SOPs
Wash all laundry items as required
Clean all pallets used in GMP areas of the facility
Retrieve cleaning agents from storage and handle the inventory of these agents
Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards
Maintain area in GMP and 5S standard ensuring high degree of organization
Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
Work collaboratively with team members, modeling positive team principles
Carry out all duties within strict compliance to quality systems SOPs and GMP
Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion
Actively engage in departmental systems (visual management, scheduling, etc.)
Be client and patient conscious
Understand Key Performance Indicators, identify areas for improvement, and engage in problem solving
Model positive thinking, adapt to changes, and motivate the team
Proactively identify areas for improvement in procedures and communicate risks to timelines
Consistently strive to improve skills and knowledge in related field
