Requirements

  • Minimum (HNC) level 4 qualification or equivalent (ideally HND/degree) in a relevant engineering subject
  • Proven planning experience - integrating support activities with a larger operational delivery schedule
  • Sound technical knowledge of test equipment (STTE & COTS) both theory and practical
  • A strong understanding of calibration principles
  • Demonstrated experience leading audits and managing compliance to relevant standards
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the relevant audience
  • Experience working with external stakeholders and managing workload
  • British Citizen (Security Clearance: BPSS required)

Responsibilities

  • Become the "Person Responsible" for all equipment at Bolton and associated QCS Custodian
  • Manage routine calibrations of all equipment in conjunction with Operations - working with Operations management to create forward plans and schedule calibration requirements
  • Responsible for managing calibration improvement scheduling alongside routine plans
  • Identify C&M constraints to create smooth product flow - review capability threshold and conduct rescheduling alongside Operations management to meet business requirements
  • Demonstrating compliance to specific auditable requirements – leading audit reviews with external stakeholders
  • Planning and scheduling calibration work within Manufacturing, creating forward plans in line with capacity requirements
  • Work in cross functional teams, reporting to external stakeholders and managing audit compliance within C&M
  • Support the wider C&M department and Operations teams to deliver routine calibration activities and drive continuous improvement
