5 x GCSE qualifications at Grade 9-4, including Maths, English, and a Science, Technology, or Engineering subject
120 UCAS Points achieved through:
A-levels: 3 B's or ABC, including Maths AND Physics or Technology or Engineering subject, OR
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

Responsibilities

Work with experienced professionals and technical specialists to test products and ensure they withstand operational environments
Witness, control, and apply extreme climatic and mechanical environments (e.g., vibration, shock, temperature, low pressure, high humidity)
Perform placements in: Mechanical and Climatic Test, Structural Test, Facility Maintenance, Data Acquisition and Analysis, Project Control
Apply university learning to hands-on work with advanced test hardware and equipment
Progress from basic tasks to more autonomous project involvement with guidance from specialists
Study towards a fully funded BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering degree (1 day release per week at University of Hertfordshire)
Work full-time in the Environmental Engineering department on rotational placements
