  • 5 x GCSE qualifications at Grade 9-4, including Maths, English, and a Science, Technology, or Engineering subject
  • 120 UCAS Points achieved through:
  • A-levels: 3 B's or ABC, including Maths AND Physics or Technology or Engineering subject, OR
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

Responsibilities

  • Work with experienced professionals and technical specialists to test products and ensure they withstand operational environments
  • Witness, control, and apply extreme climatic and mechanical environments (e.g., vibration, shock, temperature, low pressure, high humidity)
  • Perform placements in: Mechanical and Climatic Test, Structural Test, Facility Maintenance, Data Acquisition and Analysis, Project Control
  • Apply university learning to hands-on work with advanced test hardware and equipment
  • Progress from basic tasks to more autonomous project involvement with guidance from specialists
  • Study towards a fully funded BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering degree (1 day release per week at University of Hertfordshire)
  • Work full-time in the Environmental Engineering department on rotational placements
