Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 0 to 3 years of related experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills
  • Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (preferred)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design various site development projects including commercial, institutional, and residential plans from concept through construction (site planning, site grading, site balancing, storm water design, horizontal and vertical design of underground utilities)
  • Obtain jurisdictional approvals/permits
  • Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards
  • Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
  • Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
  • Monitor task budget and progress
  • Conduct on-site observations as needed
  • Maintain multiple project assignments
  • Verify field survey notes
  • Prepare project status and other reports
  • Assist Project Managers
  • Attend client, public, project and staff meetings (client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.)
  • Attend seminars and/or training classes
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment
