Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or possess comparable work experience, and have at least 8 years of professional engineering experience, including at least 5 years of full-time individual contributor (IC) work and 3 years of hands-on people management experience. They should have experience in performance management, mentoring, and professional career growth, as well as experience working cross-functionally with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong understanding of modern applications design architecture, API design patterns, security, performance, and scaling is required, alongside excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will guide a team of Product Engineers to deliver features that improve clinical outcomes for patients, working closely with product, design, and data partners to define strategy and roadmaps. They will also work closely with their team and fellow engineering leaders to set technical direction and ensure technical quality. The role involves establishing a new Patient Outcomes team at Rula, ensuring the team's work is technically excellent and aligned with the company’s mission, as well as driving company initiatives in collaboration with product managers and leveraging data to inform decisions.
