Engineering Manager - Patient Outcomes (Remote)

Position Overview

We are hiring a mission and impact-driven Engineering Manager to found the Patient Outcomes team. This role involves guiding a team of talented Product Engineers to deliver features that improve clinical outcomes for patients, working closely with product, design, and data partners to define strategy and roadmaps, and setting technical direction and ensuring technical quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of full-time Individual Contributor (IC) work.
• At least 3 years of hands-on people management experience, including performance management, mentoring, and professional career growth.
• Experience working cross-functionally with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in building highly scalable, reliable, available, and performant systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of modern application design architecture, good API design patterns, security, performance, and scaling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at early or growth-stage companies.
• Proven track record of recruiting, hiring, supervising, and growing technical teams.
• Strong experience driving company initiatives in collaboration with product managers.
• Demonstrable project management experience across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrable experience leveraging data to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of talented Product Engineers to deliver features that improve clinical outcomes for patients.
• Ensure patients receive the best care possible.
• Work closely with product, design, and data partners to define strategy and roadmaps for the team.
• Understand customer pain points.
• Work closely with the team and fellow engineering leaders to set technical direction.
• Ensure technical quality for the team.
