Requirements

Candidates should have 3+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams in an agile environment and 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, preferably with full-stack experience in mainstream object-oriented or strongly typed languages. A strong technical background, clear understanding of scalable system design, code quality, software lifecycle best practices, and enthusiasm for AI-assisted development are required. The ideal candidate possesses strong product intuition, excellent communication and people skills, and a pragmatic, value-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will lead a cross-functional full-stack engineering team to develop the Learn product across web and mobile platforms. Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, and mentoring engineers, driving the delivery of high-quality features, partnering with Product and Design to define roadmaps, and leading technical decision-making and system architecture. The role involves balancing delivery speed with platform health, championing engineering best practices, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability, ensuring effective collaboration, and contributing to the evolution of team culture and technical standards.
