Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP; AWS preferred)
  • 3+ years in a managerial capacity
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Pulumi, etc
  • Mastery of CI/CD tools like Github Actions, ArgoCD, etc
  • Deep understanding of network architectures, software engineering, web technologies, SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed systems
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, or Ruby, as well as bash, etc
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Nice to have: Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Nice to have: SOC2 and/or ISO27001 compliance and audit experience
  • Nice to have: Experience working with security engineering and vulnerability management
  • Nice to have: Experience negotiating and managing relationships with cloud service providers and tooling vendors

Responsibilities

  • Lead the infrastructure team to architect cloud-based solutions that meet business needs, including working with application teams to design and deploy services in the cloud
  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure, including optimizing cluster resource usage, cluster monitoring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes issues
  • Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform, including provisioning and managing AWS resources, automating AWS infrastructure changes, and monitoring AWS infrastructure performance
  • Coordinate infrastructure incident and outage response, including identifying and resolving incidents, communicating with customers and stakeholders during incidents, and effective post-mortem management
  • Be a team player and contribute to a positive work environment, working cross-functionally to take on new challenges and leave things better than found
