Requirements
Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer and 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, successfully leading teams of 5+ Software Engineers. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams, are required. A proven track record of leading platform teams and understanding the tradeoffs involved in supporting client teams while improving the domain is necessary, along with first-principles thinking skills.
Responsibilities
The Engineering Manager will build and lead an exceptional team of engaged engineers through coaching, hiring, and fostering a culture of ownership and impact. They will drive the technical vision and roadmap for the Financial Platform, collaborating with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Accounting, Legal, and Tax. The role involves collaborating with the team to design solutions supporting existing revenue lines at scale and enabling new product growth, utilizing technical and domain expertise to ensure high-level results. Additionally, the Engineering Manager will make sound decisions regarding resourcing, work with other Engineering leaders to improve the organization, and occasionally contribute to hands-on coding when opportunities arise.
