Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, along with multiple years of experience in software engineering, including roles as an engineer, technical lead, and technical manager. Experience with Golang and/or similar technologies, shipping high-quality software in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP), and building systems at cloud scale is required, as is experience with Big Data technologies like Elastic MapReduce, Spark, Elasticsearch, Apache Pinot, and Apache Hive. Solid design and problem-solving skills are also necessary.
As an Engineering Manager, you will help design, drive, and deliver on both roadmap and technical strategy, and you will be instrumental in hiring, retaining, and growing a team of highly talented engineers. You will collaborate effectively with engineers, product leaders, sales, and marketing teams, and you will be responsible for maintaining large distributed systems at scale, demonstrating a passion for healthy live site and service operations, and utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills as a remote-first company.
