Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of leading high-performing product engineering teams. Experience with React frontend development utilizing Styled Components and hooks is required, along with familiarity with MobX for data binding and a Prosemirror-based content editor. Knowledge of Node.js, Postgres, and Redis in a backend environment is also necessary, as is experience with GraphQL APIs and Google Cloud with k8s.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, you will support and develop a small team of engineers through regular feedback, mentoring, and coaching. You will collaborate with design, product, and founders to scope, prioritize, and deliver projects, facilitate planning and execution across projects while helping engineers stay unblocked and focused, and ensure code quality and system reliability through reviews, architecture input, and operational excellence. Additionally, you will advocate for and contribute to a strong engineering culture centered on ownership, curiosity, and collaboration, and help define and evolve our engineering practices, hiring standards, and team processes as we grow.
