Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience developing modern tech stacks and at least 2 years managing an engineering team. Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, best practices, and techniques, as well as managing or building a design system, is required. Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like Ember, Vue, React, or Angular is valuable. Preferred qualifications include experience in a highly regulated ARC environment, managing remote or distributed teams, and experience in an agile development environment with modern project management tools.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will lead engineering for AuditBoard’s Design Systems and Accessibility team, mentoring and inspiring a diverse team of engineers with empathy and emotional intelligence. They will manage and develop the team through hiring, retaining, and building capabilities, and develop relationships with cross-functional teams to create a best-in-class user experience. This role involves owning the build and delivery of AuditBoard’s design system, championing web accessibility efforts, and improving the web accessibility of core AuditBoard components. The manager will also work to improve all aspects of the product, both technical and processes, and deliver outstanding results for customers, support front-end products, and work closely with Product Management to define and execute the roadmap. Additionally, they will iterate and improve on agile best practices to deliver clarity and transparency.
