The Engineering Manager - Data role requires a focus on the long-term professional development and engagement of data engineers and data scientists. The position involves working on client projects, with a capacity limit of 70% of time allocated to client work, aiming for an average of 50% billable hours. Responsibilities include performance reviews, coaching, and building a team of skilled professionals. The role also involves reviewing Statements of Work (SOW) to ensure team preparedness for project execution and collaborating on SOW reviews to instill confidence in meeting customer and sales expectations. Proactive identification and addressing of skill gaps through upskilling and coaching are essential. The manager will organize professional development sessions and actively participate in staffing processes, seeking optimal matches between project requirements and team members. Contributions to profession goals alignment with Cognite VMPM and Global Delivery KPIs, leading initiatives to address employee engagement concerns, and collaborating with profession leadership and IIT for standardizing professional practices are also key requirements. Facilitating interaction with other parts of the GSS and Cognite organization by providing feedback on SOW processes and collecting/prioritizing feedback for product improvements is expected. Leading recruitment efforts is also a part of the role.

They will also facilitate interactions with other departments by providing feedback on SOW processes and collecting/prioritizing feedback for product improvements, in addition to leading recruitment efforts.
