Familiarity with Java, Python, Node.js (or similar backend technologies), AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3), Terraform, Docker, and experience with legacy stacks like Oracle and monolithic applications is expected, along with modernization tools like Kubernetes, containerization, serverless, and CI/CD pipelines.
You will initially lead a small architecture team consisting of yourself plus one engineer, with the opportunity to grow the team over time as modernization efforts expand.
Experienced leading and mentoring engineers, pragmatic balancing of technical vision with delivery, comfortable writing code and debugging, skilled at cross-team collaboration, and strong communication to explain tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences.
A strong candidate has experience leading and mentoring engineers, hands-on coding ability in backend technologies, expertise in cloud modernization and legacy migrations, and skills in collaborating across teams while communicating effectively.
