About The Browser Company

Hi, we're The Browser Company đź‘‹ and we're building a better way to use the internet.

Browsers are unique in that they are one of the only pieces of software that you share with your parents as well as your kids. Which makes sense, they're our doorway to the most important things — through them we socialize with loved ones, work on our passion projects, and explore our curiosities. But on their own, they don’t actually do a whole lot, they’re kind of just there. They don’t help us organize our messy lives or make it easier to compose our ideas. We believe that the browser could do so much more — it can empower and support the amazing things we do on the internet. That’s why we’re building one: a browser that can help us grow, create, and stay curious.

To accomplish this lofty task, we’re building a diverse team of people from different backgrounds and experiences. This isn’t optional, it’s crucial to our mission, as we need a wide range of perspectives to challenge our assumptions and shape our browser through a bold, creative lens. With that in mind, we especially encourage women, people of color, and others from historically marginalized groups to apply.

About The Role

As a technical leader at The Browser Company, you’ll be instrumental in our team’s ability to design and ship novel LLM-powered features that redefine how people use the internet. You'll transform ambiguous goals into elegant solutions, helping your team of ML and Product Engineers set new standards for browser-based AI as we launch Dia.

We’re looking for someone who is product-minded, deeply curious, and excited to build with LLMs. In this role, you’ll help define how we build software in 2025—not through traditional UI or API layers, but through prompts, evals, hill-climbing, and fast feedback loops grounded in real usage. You’ll apply the latest learnings and models to enhance our product use cases, set technical direction, evolve our architecture, and invent new ways of building AI products — ways that are fast, flexible, and grounded in user experience.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Shape the product roadmap for Dia’s assistant alongside our CTO and technical leaders, driving ambitious projects like memory and agentic capabilities that redefine what’s possible in browser-based AI.
  • Lead, architect, and execute cutting-edge LLM-powered features ensuring every decision is grounded in user impact and business value.
  • Support and mentor a talented team of product and machine learning engineers, helping them grow both technically and with a product mindset through fast iteration cycles.
  • Drive AI quality by building and refining systems and evals to assess and enhance model performance, partnering with product teams to ensure our models and heuristics keep improving as we scale.
  • Integrate and experiment with the latest AI models, fine-tuning them for real-world use cases while balancing quality, speed, and scale. You’ll stay ahead of the latest AI advancement and translate them into strategic opportunities for Dia’s roadmap.
  • Proactively improve, identify and implement engineering-wide processes and architecture with an eye towards performance, stability, and maintainability.
  • Sweat the small stuff to deliver high-craft, interaction-rich user experiences that set a new standard for the industry.

Technical Projects You’ll Shape With Us…

  • Launch a next-generation Skills system: Be at the forefront of releasing a new Skills platform that will serve as the foundation for our AI Quality work—helping users discover, predict, and utilize the right Skills at the right moment.
  • Invent agentic and computer use capabilities: Explore and implement cutting-edge agentic features and computer use flows that enable Dia to proactively assist users in ways that feel truly personal.
  • Memory System Innovation: Architect a Memory system that learns from real user workflows, unlocking a more authentic and personalized assistant experience.
