Requirements

  • Entry-level position; college student in or seeking experience in Machining, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Assurance (preferred)
  • Computer savvy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Publisher emphasized); familiarity with statistical software helpful
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and carry: regularly up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 40 lbs (lifting assistance required over 50 lbs)
  • In-person only, located near Port of Tacoma
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR requirements)
  • Passionate, adaptable, driven to achieve quality results, focused on continuous improvement, self-motivated, and problem solver

Responsibilities

  • Define a uniform method of creating and controlling production setup books for manufacturing and assembly operations
  • Review all issued setup books currently in production to ensure required procedures are met
  • Work directly with Programmers, Machine Shop, and Quality/Manufacturing engineers
  • Document machine setup information, manufacturing planning, inspection plans, and process improvements
  • Assist with planning changes, customer quality issues, and other projects (20-30 hours per week)
