Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Industrial, Controls, and/or related Engineering
  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. (authorized to work without sponsorship, now or in the future)
  • Available for Summer 2026 (up to 40 hours per week; part-time during school year may be available)
  • Able to work on-site at the manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, IN

Responsibilities

  • Update Value Stream Maps (VSM)
  • Assist with High Performance Team (HPT) projects and requests
  • Assist the parts crib functions – learn industrial components
  • Special design projects as necessary
  • Time studies
  • Updating AutoCAD Plant Layout
  • Reviewing and updating the PM process and schedule
  • Reviewing and recommending part replacements
  • Updating flow charts, work instructions, PM documents (TAE/BAE)
  • Analyzing and improving processes based on investigations
