A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is required, along with a minimum of three years of Substation Engineering, Power Systems, or related electrical experience.
The role involves collaborating with other engineering disciplines, the Design and Drafting group, and departments like System Planning, Distributed Energy Resources, Asset Management, Project Management, and more to ensure consistency, teamwork, and project success.
Strong candidates will have the ability to organize projects, meet schedules, communicate effectively to lead multi-disciplinary teams, prioritize work under budget and time constraints, and develop expertise as a Subject Matter Expert in substation equipment.
