Candidates should have a deep understanding of Javascript and considerable experience building thick-client applications with modern frameworks like Ember, AngularJS, Backbone, or React/Flux. Experience with testing frameworks such as QUnit, Mocha, and Playwright is required, along with functional knowledge of developing accessible interfaces. Strong HTML and CSS skills are necessary, with bonus points for experience with animation, scalable CSS approaches, preprocessors like SCSS/LESS, client-side build processes and tools (Grunt, Gulp, Ember CLI), Git/version control workflows, open-source contributions, graphics/visualization tools (D3, ThreeJS), and websocket/real-time web services.
The UI Engineer will build and maintain single-page web applications using JavaScript and Ember.js, participating in code reviews and writing automated tests for their code. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX Engineers, Designers, Writers, Researchers, QA Analysts, and Product Managers to deliver quality software that solves problems. The engineer will also take initiative to build tools that improve the team's development experience and continually learn about cybersecurity challenges to solve complex problems.
