UI Engineer - NG-SIEM

Position Overview

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking an experienced UI Engineer for its NG-SIEM product team. This role is crucial in advancing CrowdStrike's NG-SIEM vision, contributing to the development of cutting-edge investigation, detection, and prevention technologies within the XDR, endpoint, SIEM, and SOAR markets. You will leverage your UI engineering expertise to introduce significant new features and enhancements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

About the Role

The NG-SIEM product team is looking for a collaborative and passionate UI Engineer with a strong technical background. While our primary JavaScript framework is Ember, we welcome candidates with experience in React, Angular, or Vue.js, and we will provide support to help you become proficient in Ember and our codebase. We value engineers who are sensitive to user needs and excel at finding solutions in a dynamic problem space. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain single-page web applications using JavaScript and Ember.js.
• Participate actively in code reviews for your own code and that of your peers.
• Proactively develop tools to enhance team development efficiency.
• Write automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow UX Engineers, Cloud Engineers, UX Designers, UX Writers, Technical Writers, User Researchers, QA Analysts, Product Managers, and other stakeholders.
• Continuously learn and adapt to the evolving challenges and complexities of the cybersecurity industry.
• Contribute to solving challenging problems in a fun and engaging environment.

Requirements

• A strong desire to collaborate closely with users, designers, and testers to deliver high-quality software that effectively solves problems.
• A deep understanding of JavaScript and significant experience building thick-client applications using modern frameworks such as Ember, AngularJS, Backbone, or React/Flux.
• Proficiency with testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies like QUnit, Mocha, and Playwright.
• Functional knowledge and a keen interest in developing genuinely accessible interfaces.
• Strong HTML and CSS skills.
• Familiarity with client-side build processes and tools (e.g., Grunt, Gulp, Ember CLI).
• Comfortable with Git and version control workflows.

Bonus Points

• Experience creating or contributing to open-source projects.
• Experience with graphics and visualization tools such as D3 or ThreeJS.
• Familiarity with client-side build processes and tools (e.g., Ember CLI, Webpack).
• Familiarity with WebSocket and real-time web services.
• Experience with UI performance optimization.
• Experience with animation, knowledge of scalable/modular CSS approaches, and preprocessors like SCSS & LESS.
