Field Applications Engineer

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 3 years of experience in field service or technical support, specifically with electron microscopy equipment such as TEM, SEM, and SDB/LDB systems. Strong troubleshooting and repair skills are essential, along with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
The Field Service Engineer II will be responsible for conducting on-site installation of complex electron microscopy systems, performing scheduled maintenance visits, providing troubleshooting and repair support to customers, cultivating positive customer relationships, and serving as a liaison between Thermo Fisher Scientific and its clients. They will also instruct customers on system operation and maintenance, and conduct on-site installations of all Thermo Fisher Scientific electron microscopy systems and associated options.
