Requirements

  • Current student registered in a post-secondary STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, or mathematics) or business program in Canada
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
  • Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations
  • Consent to release placement information to Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) and the Government of Canada during and after the placement
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment
  • Experience or education in energy efficiency (Preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Preferred)
  • Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills (Preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Junior engineering and analysis support; data collection, energy analyses, and project research
  • Primary and secondary data collection efforts, as well as data analysis
  • Conduct evaluation, measurement and verification (EM&V) activities for installed energy efficiency measures
  • Support and assist with input for technical reports by contributing to draft reports, including results and actionable recommendations
  • Support senior staff with the development of presentations and reports
  • Other duties as assigned
