Ability to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)
Undergraduate student suitable for a 3-month summer placement

Responsibilities

Work with a small team of undergraduate summer placement students to plan, manage, design, and deliver a missile-related project
Develop skills in detailed circuit design, analogue and digital circuit test techniques, analysis and characterisation techniques, manufacturing (machining, PCB manufacture, circuit card assembly), and test & evaluation of design
Spend time in the lab building experimental hardware
Potentially write software and firmware
Use schematic design tool (Zuken)
Develop time management and project planning skills
Potentially use modelling & simulation tools such as Matlab and Simulink
Work independently, in focused electronics teams, and in dynamic multi-disciplinary teams (integrating with mechanical, software, and servomechanism design)
Occasionally travel to other MBDA sites (primarily work onsite in Stevenage)
